It's rare for Boba Fett to disintegrate a bounty victim because
most of the time Boba Fett needs to bring the villain in alive or
at least Boba Fett would need a deceased body intact to confirm
that Boba Fett had successfully captured the bad guy in order to
receive payment for the bounty award collection.

However, in certain chaotic and unpredictable conditions, Boba
Fett would use disintegration in order to take out a particularly
hostile and dangerous adversary. Darth Vader was aware that
Boba Fett had disintegrated individuals before in the past, but
Darth Vader needed the heroes of the Rebel Alliance taken as
live captures as ordered by Lord Darth Sidious.
